Ben is a Trainee Solicitor at BTMK, due to qualify in early 2026. He has spent over a year working in our Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department where he has gained vast experience in both residential and commercial property disputes, insolvency, intellectual property rights, employment and contentious probate matters. Ben is currently practicing in our Corporate and Commercial team, where he will remain once fully qualified.
He is regularly involved in corporate matters on private mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate restructuring, and general corporate governance advice. He is also involved in the commercial sector, dealing with all aspects of business contracts, including the sale of goods and/or services agreements, intellectual property licencing and more. Ben also frequently deals with commercial properties, including sales, purchases, and the grant, assignment and renewals of leases. He will also accept some instruction on residential property matters too.
With a keen interest in Sports Law Ben is regularly in attendance at various conferences and seminars, looking to specialise in the negotiation of athlete’s contract and sponsorship deals, regulatory/disciplinary matters, and overall career strategy. Ben’s training in both our Litigation and Corporate/Commercial Departments well place him to assist in our growth of this particular sector.
Ben studied Law at the University of Exeter, and is currently in the process of completing his Solicitor Qualifying Exams.
Outside of the office, Ben is an avid Tottenham supporter, and enjoys playing football and padel at a casual level. He is also learning Portuguese due to family connections in both Portugal and Brazil.
