Adam is a Director of BTMK and a qualified Solicitor. He has over 10 years of experience in all aspects of civil and commercial litigation with a specific interest in injunction and property matters. He is joint head of the Dispute Resolution team at BTMK and is described in this year’s Legal 500 as being “attuned to the clients’ needs and deals with cases in an astute and commercially sensible way.”
Adam recently dealt with a significant director’s misfeasance claim arising out of a Special Administration. Adam also leads the Landlord & Tenant team at BTMK which acts for a number of landlords and letting agents in the local area and beyond.
Adam regularly speaks to landlord forums and professional organisations about the ever changing legal landscape in this area. The team recently successfully dealt with the eviction of a high profile squatter’s organisation from a prominent property in Central London, together with numerous evictions throughout Southend and Essex. Away from the office Adam has a very keen golfer and also has an interest for cricket having been Club Captain at Hadleigh & Thundersley Cricket Club between 2004 & 2013.
Adam regularly acts in disputes involving inheritance, such as contesting a will and any litigation involving trusts and wills. This includes advice on the mental capacity, undue influence and claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975.
