Private Client NQ or Fee Earner

BTMK Solicitors are looking to recruit a Fee Earner into our Private Client Department as soon as possible. The role would ideally suit either a Legal Executive, newly qualified solicitor, STEP member, Paralegal or even someone who does not have any of the above qualifications but who has extensive Private Client experience and would like a different role with more autonomy and responsibility.

The role will be based in our Barringtons office, in Rayleigh. This is a full time position and working hours will be 9 – 5.15 Monday to Friday. Salary will be discussed during the interview process and benefits include:

The successful candidate will be fully supported in the area’s set out below.

You should be able to conduct client interviews in relation to taking instructions for Wills, LPAs and Probate matters. A knowledge of the Probate and administration process is essential. Basic knowledge of HMRC procedures in relation to inheritance tax, income tax and capital gains tax is essential. Other areas of Private Client, such as Court of Protection work, Trusts and Probate litigation are not essential but could be an advantage. You should be comfortable in either giving instructions via dictation to support staff and also be able to work independently if necessary.

The successful candidate will be fully supported in the following areas –

Departmental procedures

Operating the LEAP case management system (experience in this would be an advantage)

Building and developing your caseload
