Senior Solicitor – Insolvency Litigation

BTMK Solicitors are looking to recruit a highly motivated and experienced candidate to join us in our Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department. Flexible and agile working options will also be considered.

BTMK is looking for an experienced Insolvency Litigation Solicitor to join our Litigation and Dispute Resolution Team.

This opportunity arises as a result of the departure of a 30+ PQE Solicitor with a significant client base, providing challenging work in all areas of insolvency litigation.

With two Senior Directors and a department consisting of 9 team members across two BTMK offices, this presents a hugely exciting opportunity for the right candidate who is looking to progress their career by taking over an existing caseload as well as to help the existing Directors to shape the team and to prepare for the next stage of growth.

The new team member will naturally be expected to have significant experience in this discipline, will be an accomplished solicitor with experience of managing their own caseload.

The successful candidate should be looking forward to joining a highly regarded practice, with over 130 members of staff across four large office locations and with clear plans for growth and expansion over the next five years.
BTMK has a clear formula for growth and career development as can be seen from the make-up of the current Board of Directors.

The appropriate candidate for this role will have experience in (a non-exhaustive list):

  1. All key areas of insolvency and bankruptcy litigation
  2. Working closely with Liquidators and Trustees in all common areas of legal work arising out of liquidations, administrations, bankruptcy and IVAs.
  3. Preferably (but not essential) some knowledge of non-contentious areas of work resulting from contentious areas such as business transfers, assignments of causes of action etc.

The successful candidate for this role will be expected to meet with the current Heads of Department and one or more members of the Management Committee at BTMK.

Salary and remuneration commensurate with experience and responsibility.

Flexible and agile working will be considered but the needs of the business and clients must be borne in mind.
Appropriate support/PA support will be provided who will have knowledge of the existing clients/caseload.
